Beatrice Chooses her Faction

In the next part of my book Divergent, Beatrice thinks long and hard about which faction she will choose. She is thinking about staying loyal to her family and choosing to stay with her original faction Abgenation or going to the Dauntless faction and leaving her family forever and probably getting shunned by them as well. At the Choosing Ceremony Caleb her brother goes right before her and chooses Erudite surprising everyone especially Beatrice because he was always so loyal and selfless. Then Beatrice decides to choose Dauntless and on the way out her dad was angry at her for leaving them.

Being part of the Dauntless faction takes a lot of courage and bravery. This shows as soon as the ceremony is over and when Dauntless leaves they jump on a moving train and when they arrive at Dauntless they jump off the moving train onto a building but some don't jump and become factionless which is the worst possible thing that can happen to you. They became factionless because they didn't jump off the train and complete the initiation which continued when they had to jump off a building into a giant net that you couldn't see. Beatrice was the first to jump off then her new friend Christina. At the bottom they meet a member named Four. Later a man named Eric who is a leader of Dauntless tells the newbies that initiation isn't over and that they will be ranked to see if they make it or not leaving some of them in tears because if they don't make it they will become factionless.
