I read further after the hospital incident and found out that June attended her brother's funeral but all she could think about was getting revenge on Day. Day made it out of the sewer and was badly injured, and Tess found him on the street and she took him and found them a home to stay so Day could get better. The man eventually found out who Day was and called the police whcih drove Tess and Day away. June is now hot in their pursuit.
